Apolisi a ku Kanengo, Kawale, Lilongwe ndi Lingadzi ndi omwe akhala akugwira ntchito yofuna kuthetsa umbandawu pokhazikitsa chitetezo mmadera monga Mgona, Area 25, Area 49 Mvama komanso mtsinje wa Nankhaka.

Police in Lilongwe have arrested 108 people suspected of kidnapping and murder in Kanengo and surrounding areas.

Central West Region Deputy Police Spokesperson Foster Benjamin said the arrests were made in separate operations carried out by police in recent days following reports of kidnappings and murders in Kanengo.

The suspects, according to Chigalu, are between the ages of 18 and 48 and some of them were found in possession of marijuana, illegal alcohol, motor oil and other items.

Police in Kanengo, Kawale, Lilongwe and Lingadzi have been working to curb the crime by establishing security in areas such as Mgona, Area 25, Area 49 Mvama and the Nankhaka River.

Reports this week indicate that five people have been killed in the area and others injured by robbers who have been beating and robbing people in the evening.
