Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Secretary General Richard Chimwendo Banda has said President Lazarus Chakwera is the only presidential candidate in the September 16 general elections who truly prioritizes the development of the nation.

Speaking at a political rally held at Chatata Ground in Lilongwe City Central Constituency, Chimwendo Banda emphasized that President Chakwera has already demonstrated his commitment to national development through various projects implemented over the past four years across the country.

He urged communities to vote for President Chakwera, as well as MCP Members of Parliament and councillors, to ensure the continuation of development efforts.

Also speaking at the rally, Member of Parliament for Lilongwe Msozi, Sosten Gwengwe, cautioned voters against being misled by smooth-talking politicians whose main goal is to create confusion among Malawians.
