Woman Blamed for Jet Ski Accident That Killed Girl

Mwaimva? People in Europe are talking about a sad story. A young girl named Ava Moore, who was only 18 years old, died after a jet ski hit her while she was kayaking on a lake. This happened over the weekend at a lake in a place called Texas.

A 21-year-old woman, Daikerlyn Gonzalez, is the one who was driving the jet ski. She is from Venezuela and entered the country without documents. The police said she was driving the jet ski very fast near the shore when she hit Ava’s kayak.

Ava was taken to the hospital, but she died there.

Gonzalez had another woman with her on the jet ski. After the accident, both of them left the scene. Later, the passenger came back and spoke to the police. Gonzalez left with her boyfriend, Maikel Perozo, in a car. While trying to run away, they crashed into two other cars.

The police arrested them in a city called Dallas.

Gonzalez is now facing a serious charge called manslaughter, which means causing someone’s death without planning to kill them. She could go to prison for 2 to 20 years.

Her boyfriend, Perozo, is also facing smaller charges for helping her escape and crashing the car. The other woman on the jet ski has not been charged.

Both Gonzalez and Perozo are from Venezuela. They came into the country without permission. This has made immigration officers and government officials get involved in the case.

One official said, “Ava should be alive today and getting ready to join the Air Force.” The governor of Texas even said Gonzalez should face the death penalty.

Immigration officers have said both Gonzalez and Perozo will be sent back to their country after the case is finished.
